Better Dates With Language That Baits

By Michael Twomey In this article I will share with you one of the handful of powerful techniques for getting someone more interested in you. Of course I always recommend that people become more interesting and this conversational technique will get you started in the right direction. With a little bit of practice you will find yourself doing less on dates and getting better and better results :) Before we get to this technique let us go over some of the most common traps that people fall into on dates. Things to avoid : 1. Asking so many questions that your date feels as if they are being interrogated. This usually happens when someone feels nervous and does not know what to say so they ask a bunch of random or boring questions. 2. Unloading and sharing too much information, too soon. This can seem “creepy” or “needy” and can be overwhelming to your date. Then there are people that will go out with you just to avoid being at home alone. They are not really interested in you so they will only enjoy themselves if the event, setting, diner, movie, etc. are to their taste. Even these unresponsive dates can be improved using this powerful technique of baiting language. The basics of this technique are to ask yourself what you want to know about the other person and what you want them to know about you. What will make them feel more interested and attracted to you? So you combine direct questions with statements that bait that person into asking more questions. The more questions they ask, the more curious they become and the more they want to know. You bait them with parts of your story and they will want to know more and more and will then share similar information with you. This makes dating more interactive and fun. Due to human psychology we tend to become more interested in people that we are curious about and the more we want to know about them, the more intrigued we become. We start to think of them even when we are apart and wonder about what they are doing at that moment and so we hypnotize ourselves into becoming more attracted to them. We want to see them again and again. So when you bait someone into asking you more and more questions that become more and more intimate, they get to feel more attracted and interested in you. * EXAMPLES : Spice up your conversation with bait rather than telling a long and boring story about a trip you took. ~ “You know, I have lived in New York now for 3 years and I am still amazed at the energy of this city.” Your date will most likely ask you where you are from originally. I think this is starting to make sense to you. ~”New Yorkers have a different kind of energy from the people I met on vacation.” If your date does not ask what you mean by this or where you vacationed then you can tease a bit more before going onto another topic. ~ “Really! I noticed something fascinating about the people here in New York compared with people in Europe.” The unspoken questions are : What did you notice? Where in Europe did you visit? Did you go there on Business or pleasure? Did you go there alone? etc. It will feel natural for them to share some insights about what they noticed on their own travels or they may be even more interested in where you have visited if they have never left their home town. You may feel pride in your job or career and this is also something many people ask about or talk about during a date. If your date does not ask any questions about you then they are either not interested in you or they are too shy or nervous to ask you questions. It is your responsibility to find out if they are uninterested or just shy and to help them to relax and feel more comfortable and interested. You can focus on them and draw their interest that way. ~ “I noticed something about you. Maybe, because of what I do for a living. Remind me to show you something later on.” The missing details are : What did you notice about them? What do you do for a living? Did you notice something good or bad about them? What will you show them? So the first step before going on your next date is you write out a bunch of questions that you would like to know about someone. Then you write out your history and you take out some of the boring facts and details and by re-wording your statements with baiting language you get them more intrigued about you and more involved on the date. Then practice this out loud so it feels smoother and more natural on your dates. Personally, I feel that common interests are important in relationships so I often took dates to music and video stores to go shopping or browsing. You get to discover more about each other from your musical tastes and tastes in movies and this improves your connection. So if there is music playing in the background you can use this language bait. ~ “Wow! This song reminds me of when I was playing in one of my bands when I was in College.” You can smile with a far off look on your face and just wait for them to ask. It helps if you use your real life stories and remember them as you use this technique. Emotions are more powerful than boring facts and figures so you will attract them this way. This will usually get someone to wonder what kind of band you were playing in, what other kinds of music you played, do you still play music, what instrument? etc. So have fun spicing up your biography and history with some baiting language that will get your dates wanting to know more about you and to see you again! Which Glue To Use For The Job

By Shellie Wilson In any sticky situation, the key to success is to choose the right adhesive for the job in hand. CLEAR HOUSEHOLD Also known as general-purpose adhesive, it has a transparent appearance when dry. Suitable for situation where A particularly strong bond is not required. Where to use: On soft flexible plastics canvas, some metals, card, cork, leather, hardboard, fabric, and cloth. How to Apply: Where surfaces are absorbent spread the glue onto one surface and press both surfaces together firmly. Otherwise spread a think film on both surfaces leave for a brief moment and then press the two items together for several minutes. How to Remove: While still wet use a damp cloth to remove access then use acetone or nail polish remover to rub away at the adhesive. The Good and The Bad: Can not be used on polythene, polypropylene or polystyrene as it eats into the surface, it is not suitable for repairing pottery and similar heavy items as the glue is not strong enough. be careful around varnished surfaces as this glue can lift the varnish off a surface and damage it. LATEX A rubber-based adhesive in white and clear formulations. It produces a flexible bond. Where to use: Ideal for repairs on fabric, upholstery, rubber, paper wood, and toys. How to Apply: If the materials are lightweight or delicate avoid adhesive penetration by applying a thin coat to each surface letting it sit till the glue becomes semi-transparent and then pushing the two surfaces together. For other materials apply a light coat to one surface and push together and secure for several minutes. How to Remove: Comes off easily with a damp cloth when the glue is still wet, when dry pick off the access glue and scrape with a sharp knife for fabrics you will need a solvent cleaner. The Good and The Bad: A useful adhesive to have on hand for small touch ups, this latex glue also comes in a non toxic variety for childrens use. EPOXY RESIN A two-part, quick-setting epoxy resin base plus hardener, that needs to be mixed before use. It dries clear and is heat-proof. Where to use: On china, pottery, glass and jewelry repairs it is also suitable for wood, metal and leather it has a very strong durable bond once set. How to apply: Following the directions on your epoxy resin mix the epoxy and hardener together ensuring that your surface is clean. Apply a thin layer onto one surface and squeeze the two surfaces together. secure until it sets. How to Remove: If you get it on your skin then use a industrial hand cleaner, remove excess glue from surfaces with a cloth dampened with white spirit. Once set you will need to chip away at the glue as it is solid once dry. The Good and The Bad: Once the adhesive is mixed you only have a few minutes to work with it and if you are fixing pottery that you intend to use, after a long period of time the resin will eventually break down. CONTACT A petroleum-based adhesive, which is extremely inflammable. Applied to both surfaces, it bonds on contact. Where to use: On a variety of surfaces such as laminate, wood, rubber, stone, leather, it is heat and water proof. How to Apply: Coat both surfaces with the adhesive and allow to become tacky then press the two surfaces together. How to remove: It is difficult to remove once it is dry so wipe off any excess as you go with a damp cloth, you can use a acetone to wipe the residue down and large amounts would need to be chipped away first. The Good and the Bad: You need to work quickly and it is not suitable for plastic pr polythene items as it can wrinkle the surface. PVA (polyvinyl acetate) A white creamy adhesive that is water soluble and provides a permanent bond which can be stronger than material itself. Where to use: Use for general indoor woodwork repairs, plus hardboard, polyurethane, foam, paper, fabric, leather, and carpets. Can also be watered down to make papermache glue or used as a protective coat on indoor artwork. How to Apply: Squeeze a thin layer onto one surface and press together straight away. Clamp or secure for at least one hour to allow setting. How to Remove: While it is still wet remove with a damp cloth, once set use mentholated spirits. The Good and The Bad: Not suitable for water contact, you will need a waterproof PVA for those jobs. SUPERGLUE Originally used by the air force industry these adhesive needs only a tiny spot to produce extremely strong bond onto almost any surface including your skin. Where to use: For use where you need a Instant bond, metals, plastics, glass, ceramics, rubber. How to Apply: One tiny drop onto one surface and push both surfaces together straight away. Always where rubber gloves How to Remove: If you get skin contact immediately soak in warm soapy water, if available use a solvent cleaner and try to separate skin gently. The Good and The Bad: Though it is an effective adhesive it can be quite expensive for large projects, it is highly dangerous and should be kept safe at all times. As this is a thin liquid it is not useful in filling Gaps which may be required to fill broken pottery etc to even out the edges. ACID FREE GLUE This is an archive glue that can either go on white or clear. This glue contains no harmful acid it is suitable for paper, card and some plastics. Where to use: Use for archival documents, Scrapbooking and photos. How to Apply: Apply a thin layer of glue to one surface and press the surfaces together, you can also apply small dots into the corners of a photo for easy application. It comes in many different forms, such as squeezy bottles, roll ons and droplet. How to Remove: When wet use a damp cloth to wipe away excess, once dried gently separate the items being careful not to tear the papers. The Good and The bad: This glue is easy to apply and purpose built for Scrapbooking, there is no substitute when it comes to archiving your memories. Young, Ambitious and in Your First Job? Want to Climb the Ladder to Success?

By Lee Lister Every business loves young and ambitious employees. They offer great value to a business and can often come up with new ideas. I would offer you the following advice: * Find a hole and jump into it. Basically find something that will of value to your company and make yourself the expert of goto guy for that service etc. Think of things like understanding a particular market such as young single men, or maybe be good at thinking up jingles, slogans etc. Anything that will have people coming to you to ask for your advice or including you on your team. You must be careful that you are not only known for this otherwise they will promote you so that they will not lose you! * Keep your eyes open and your mouth shut. Take every opportunity to learn things by observing others. Try not to be seen as the upstart who keeps asking questions at awkward times. People will understand that you need to ask questions at your stage in your career, but try to make them insightful and at appropriate times. Dont ask questions about things you can easily find out yourself, but dont take too long on completing tasks because you dont know what you are doing. * Find a mentor.Sometimes people are recommended for a particular role or position. Often a more experienced colleague will do this for you. Try and establish a two way professional relationship with a more senior member of staff who will mentor you in exchange for your views etc. This does not mean fetching their coffee etc, but contributing positively to your mentors work load maybe offering a different view on a matter or providing information on a matter that you have researched. Lastly, be professional, be useful and develop your skills and experience. If you are pleasant to work with and contribute to your projects and assignments and are seen as an asset to the company you will climb the ladder. You Don’t have to Exercise to Lose Weight

By Ruby Lee I love my boyfriend but he’s a jerk sometimes. My bodybuilder boyfriend scorns my diet program. He says exercise beats dieting when one wants to lose weight. He says it’s healthier and faster to lose weight by exercising than dieting. He thinks hes a know-it-all. He is dead wrong. Here’s what I discover after a five-minute research. Exercise does not make you lose more weight than dieting. Exercise does not make you healthier than dieting. These two facts are based on a recent study which attempts to find if you lose more weight by exercising or dieting. Also, it attempts to confirm that exercise is a healthier weight-loss strategy than just dieting alone. The results are astounding. The study concludes that exercising is not a more superior weight loss strategy than dieting. You lose no more weight by exercising alone or dieting alone. Also, you are no more “healthier” if you diet without exercising or you exercise without dieting. Biomarkers of health will remain the same. Arent you sick of people telling you dieting without exercising is unhealthy? Aren’t you sick of people telling you to exercise while dieting? Now you can tell them - Up yours! Exercise is not necessary for weight loss. Dieting is as good as exercise. But what if you exercise and diet at the same time? It’s safe to assume that if you exercise and diet at the same time you’ll lose more weight. Since you burn calories when you exercise, it stands to reason that you lose more weight than just by dieting alone. Also, there’s one valid reason why you should exercise while dieting. One study finds that you’ll lose more muscle mass and strength if you do not exercise while dieting. Youll lose weight but in effect you’re still fat because you lose a significant amount of muscle mass. It’s fat you want to lose, not muscle. So my boyfriend may be right after all. Though you can lose weight by dieting alone, it’s better to diet and exercise. References: Improvements in body composition, glucose tolerance, and insulin action induced by increasing energy expenditure or decreasing energy intake. Lower extremity muscle size and strength and aerobic capacity decrease with caloric restriction but not with exercise-induced weight loss. Do you know that 95% of all diets fail? Do you want to be in the successful 5%? Reducing Cholesterol And Body Fat With Tea

By Jon Stout High cholesterol, heart disease and obesity are serious health issues, and seem to go hand in hand. A diet heavy in high cholesterol foods like meat, cheese and eggs can cause weight gain and high cholesterol levels. High cholesterol levels and being overweight, in turn, lead to heart disease. So, getting cholesterol levels and weight under control are significant factors in reducing the risk of heart disease. To reduce cholesterol levels and take off extra pounds, reduce the amount of red meats in your diet, replacing them with poultry and fish. Eat low fat dairy products, and limit your intake of egg yolks. Eat high fiber, whole grain products like oatmeal, as these can help reduce cholesterol levels. Be certain that youre eating lots of fruits and vegetables fresh is best, and avoid processed foods. These dietary changes should help you lose excess weight and lower your cholesterol levels. In addition to dietary changes, exercise is very important in weight maintenance and lowering cholesterol. Aim for 30 minutes of cardiovascular activity 3-5 times a week (walking is fine). In addition, 20 minutes of strength training 3 times a week is also beneficial. Strength training helps you tone and build muscle. Since muscle burns more calories than fat even at rest, adding some extra muscle speeds up your metabolism, which helps you maintain, or reduce, your weight. In addition, since we all begin to lose some muscle mass each year beginning as early as age 30, building muscle helps compensate for this loss, keeping you strong as you age. Tea May Help, Too In addition to making changes to your diet and exercise habits, drinking tea may be helpful, too. In the last few years, there has been a great deal of research on the benefits of tea. Tea is rich in anti-oxidants, which are known to slow down the aging process and prevent disease. Studies have shown tea, particularly green tea, to be effective at preventing heart disease and some forms of cancer. Green tea is found to be more effective than other types of tea because of the way its processed. Green tea is not fermented, which helps to keep the anti-oxidants in their most natural, healthy state. In addition to helping prevent disease, tea has also been shown to be an effective way to help lose weight. Tea contains caffeine, which has been shown in many studies to speed the metabolism. However, tea has been shown to be a more effective weight loss supplement than other beverages that contain caffeine. So, researchers have concluded that it is more than just the caffeine that makes tea so effective. It is believed that it is the combination of teas caffeine and its anti-oxidants, known as catechins, that work together to help with weight loss. In addition to speeding up metabolism, it is also believed that tea can promote the oxidation of fat, making weight loss come more easily. Tea also seems to regulate insulin levels in the blood, which may be of benefit to those whose weight has made them insulin resistant, a precursor to diabetes. People with insulin resistance are often overweight and have trouble losing the weight because the body doesnt process insulin properly. One research study on this subject is particularly interesting. The study looked at Japanese men and measured their body fat and LDL cholesterol levels. First, the participants were put on a monitored diet for a two week period of time. Then the participants were divided into groups with similar BMIs and waist circumference. The study period was 12 weeks, during which time the participants ate a controlled diet and received one of two beverages as a supplement. The beverages were either oolong tea containing 690 milligrams of tea catechins or oolong tea containing 22 milligrams of tea catechins. At the end of the study period, the subjects were evaluated on fat loss, body weight, BMI and LDL cholesterol levels. Participants who received the tea supplement containing 690 milligrams of tea catechins had significantly lower body weight, BMI, body fat and cholesterol levels over the participants who received the tea containing 22 milligrams of tea catechins. The study concluded that with similar diet and exercise routines, drinking tea produced better weight loss results and lowered cholesterol more than diets that did not contain such high levels of tea catechins. Its important to note that this study did not measure the effects of teas caffeine on participants. In fact, the oolong tea consumed by each group contained the same amount of caffeine. So, this study leads us to believe that it is the tea catechins rather than the caffeine that produces weight loss results. Many people take supplements for weight loss, and many of them prove to have negative side effects or to be unhealthy overall. This is another reason that using tea as a weight loss supplement is preferable to relying on other types of supplements. Tea is generally healthy and has no side effects. In fact, most people who are normally sensitive to caffeine can tolerate teas caffeine without experiencing side effects. So, if youre working to control your weight and cholesterol levels, there may be no better ally than drinking some tea. Jon Stout is Chairman of the Golden Moon Tea Company. Cycle Your Way To Weight Loss

By Scott Haywood Of all the possible exercises there are to help you lose weight, cycling is one of the best. If you want to lose weight and are looking for the perfect exercise, or if youre looking for a great calorie burning exercise to add to your exercise repertoire, this article is for you. Well tell you why cycling is so great and what it can do for you, what youll need to get started and provide helpful hints that will help you to cycle effectively and safely for the rest of your life. The benefits of cycling Cycling has many health benefits, particularly for those that want to lose weight. Here are just some of the great aspects of cycling: Cycling is one of the easiest aerobics exercises to start with because it offers a very wide range of training intensities, including very low levels of intensity. Cycling is a non-weight bearing exercise so it is easy on the joints, muscles and tendons. Cycling burns a lot of calories (more than 500 per hour at a moderate pace for someone weighing 80kgs). Cycling can be a relatively inexpensive activity to participate in. Cycling can be a very social activity and is easily performed in a group or with family and friend. Cycling can be done indoors or outdoors. Cycling provides aerobic training (for the heart and lungs), resistance training (for leg muscles) and isometric (static) resistance (for the arms and other muscles in the upper body). Cycling can be done relatively safely at almost any age. Cycling is a perfect cross-training exercise for running, swimming, skiing, etc and can add variety to any exercise program. Cycling is becoming safer as state governments and local city councils invest in dedicated bike tracks and designated bike lanes on city and country roads. Why cycle? If you want to lose weight, there are many reasons for you to consider cycling as part of your daily exercise regime. Here are just 10 of the great things cycling can do for you: 1. Help you burn excess calories and lose weight. 2. Improve your cardiovascular fitness and gain more energy. 3. Help you avoid lifestyle diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. 4. Help you to increase your exercise intensity in a slow and controlled manner. 5. Help you combine exercise with spending time with your partner, children or friends. 6. Help you meet people (by joining a cycling club for example). 7. Help you add variety to your current exercise routine. 8. Help you combine exercise in the fresh air with exploring new places and enjoying new scenery. 9. Help you tone, strengthen and shape the muscles in your legs, bottom and arms. 10. Provide you with exercise that is easy to build progression (faster and/or longer rides) and intensity variation (varying your riding speed and distances) into. What you need to get started One of the greatest things about cycling, is how easy and relatively inexpensive it is to get started (assuming you can ride a bike of course and even if you cant that is not an insurmountable problem). Of course there are those of us who really get into cycling and spend a small fortune on fancy equipment, but for those who just want to get started and lose weight, heres a list of the absolute essentials youll need as well as the optional extras you should consider to make your riding more enjoyable. The Essentials Heres what youll need to start outdoor cycling: A bike! A bike helmet. Spare tubes, tyre levers and a bike pump. Water bottle and water bottle cage for your bike. Sunglasses and sunscreen. Optional Extras Although classed as optional extras, if you can afford them we recommend you strongly consider: Bike shorts (called knicks) with a good quality chamois sown into the seat. Bicycle gloves with padded palms. Speedometer (to monitor your distance and speed). Heart Rate Monitor (to help you regulate your intensity). Mobile phone (to call help if you ever get into trouble). Helpful hints for effective, safe cycling Here are some helpful hints to help you get the most out of cycling: Bike An inexpensive bike with few features is OK to get started but we recommend as a minimum you get a bike with quick-release wheel hubs so you can get the wheels off easily without a spanner when you get that inevitable puncture during a ride. Getting the right sized bike for you is very important so visit your local bike shop first and ask them what the right sized bike for you is. There are many types of bikes available from road racing bikes to pure mountain bikes and all sorts in between. Which style of bike is best for you depends upon where you are going to ride the bike, whether you want comfort or speed and how much you have to spend. For those of you wanting to ride just to lose weight and will do most of your riding on sealed roads and bike paths, we recommend a hybrid bike with road tires. Hybrid bikes tend to have slightly wider wheels than pure road bikes and have a much more comfortable upright riding position. Setting up your seat height is very important. You know your bike seat is at the correct height when your leg has a slight bend in it at the knee when the corresponding pedal is closest to the ground. If you buy your bike from a bike shop, make sure they adjust your seat height for you. When it comes to bike costs, be prepared to pay more for bikes that are lighter in weight and have better quality fittings like gears and levers, etc. Helmet Make sure the helmet you wear fits your head properly. Of all the possible places to scrimp and save money, we recommend that this isnt one of them your helmet is by far the most important piece of cycling equipment youll own. Generally speaking, be prepared to pay more money for very light helmets with superior ventilation properties. We highly recommend that you avoid buying a second hand helmet and that you buy your helmet from a reputable seller who will make sure that your helmet fits properly. Modern bike helmets are specifically designed to absorb a great deal of the impact in an accident and crack or break in the process. If your helmet is subject to a reasonable impact, take it to a reputable dealer for checking and possible replacement. Spare tubes, tyre levers and bike pump Unless youre just riding around your block a few times a week, youre going to need some spare tubes, a pair of tyre levers and a bike pump. The most important things about spare tubes are that you carry at least two of them and that they are the right size for your bike. Tyre levers are essential in helping to remove and replace your tires from the wheel rims. Only being small, these levers can easily be carried in a bum-bag or in a specially designed carry bag that fits at the back of your bike seat. Always carry a functional bike pump that has the right connection for the valves in your tubes. Most bike pumps have racks that allow you to attach the pump to the frame of your bike for convenience. Water bottle and water bottle cage for your bike Always carry plenty of water with you when you cycle. Most bikes have room for two water bottle cages on the inside of their frame. For very long rides, consider buying a hydration pack that is essentially a backpack especially designed to carry water. These packs typically carry between 1 and 3 litres of water. While cycling drink small amount of water often and never go longer than 15 minutes or so without taking a drink. Because it makes you sweat, cycling makes your body use and lose a great deal of fluid which must be replaced to avoid dehydration. Sunglasses and sunscreen When cycling outside always wear sunglasses and sunscreen unless it is very early in the morning or late in the evening. Bike shorts (called knicks) Although easy on the body as a whole, cycling can be hard on your backside initially (but it soon gets a lot better the more you ride - if it doesnt consider buying a softer, wider seat for you bike). Modern cycling shorts have a chamois sown into their seat which provides extra padding between you and the bike seat and helps wick moisture away from your skin keeping you dry and helping you avoid chafing. Bicycle gloves with padded palms Believe it or not, one part of the body that can do it tough while cycling is the hands. Padded bike gloves can help reduce the pressure on the hands, particularly on longer rides and for the small amount they cost are well worth it. Speedometer Speedometers are great at monitoring the speed and distance of each ride and some even estimate the number of calories burned during each ride. By keeping an exercise diary, you can use this valuable information to gradually increase your cycling distances and speeds as well as track your fitness progress. Because speedometers use the diameter of your bike wheels as the basic unit of measure to calculate speed and distance, we recommend you have your speedo fitted by a reputable bike dealer to make sure the information youre getting is accurate. Heart Rate Monitor These really are optional extras, but if you can afford one, we highly recommend you buy and use a heart rate monitor while cycling. While a basic speedometer can help you monitor speed and distance, these can be influenced greatly by things such as strong winds and steep hills. Heart rate monitors help overcome the inconsistencies of these outside influences and are the perfect tool to measure your exercise intensity. Mobile phone Again, these are obviously an optional extra but for safetys sake we always carry a mobile phone when cycling if you or a riding partner are ever involved in an accident or just cant make it home on time as promised, its very reassuring to know that you can easily get in contact with someone using your mobile phone. Riding Here are some tips to make your riding safe and effective: Consult your doctor before starting cycling or any new exercise program. Start slowly and keep distances short initially and slowly build up your distances and then speeds. If riding on a shared path, warn walkers and other riders when approaching from behind using your bikes bell. Use hand signals to indicate that you intend to change lanes or turn corners on your bike. Obey all traffic signals when riding on public roads. Make riding fun by including friends and perhaps stopping for a drink and snack along the way or afterwards. Change your riding route for variety. Mix your riding distances and intensities for maximum long term weight loss and fitness. Seventy percent of your riding should be done at an easy to moderate intensity (60 80% of your maximum heart rate). Ride the right sized bike and make sure your seat is at the right height. Drink regularly when riding. Use indoor cycling when raining or to compliment your outdoor riding. Stick to dedicated bike paths or designated bike lanes wherever possible. Listen to your body; if you need to take a break during your ride take it. Plan your route and communicate it and your estimated ride time to your partner or someone else so they know where to look if you are delayed for any reason. Conclusion Of all the possible exercises there are to help you lose weight, cycling is one of the best. If you want to lose weight and are looking for the perfect exercise, or if youre looking for a great calorie burning exercise to add to your exercise repertoire, cycling may be for you. Now you know why cycling is so great and what it can do for you, what youll need to get started and keep cycling effectively and safely for the rest of your life theres only one thing to do. Give it a go. Cycling is sure to help you become a happier, healthier you. Good luck. Alternative Medicine, Home Remedies for Mouth Ulcers Relief

By Dr John Anne The open sores which appear in the mouth are called as mouth ulcers. They are white or yellow in color, and are generally accompanied with a sharp pain, which is felt most when the person is eating. The pain is quite acute when salty or spicy food passes over the ulcer. New Body Language Secrets

By Udo Vieth If you’ve ever wondered about the validity of body language analysis, here is something new and exciting to ponder. Though we may be aware of body language, and be able to fake different positions to fool onlookers, this is not possible when we are asleep. At night, our body naturally and involuntarily adopts the position that feels the most natural. This has resulted in a study, showing that the way you sleep with your partner at night, might be a true reflection of the actual emotions being felt and the true dynamics of the relationship. Loving Spoon: This signifies happily “married, loving and still wanting physical contact and closeness. This self evident position, is where one partner basically lies on their side, with the other, closely behind them, folding into their back. Usually the arm of the partner at the back is draped over the stomach area of the first . This way, you can pull each other closer together, feeling very intimate. A really good sign of a close emotional relationship and friendship not burdened by any sexual frustration,is shown by the body language in this case. Honeymoon: This is the time when you just can’t get enough of each other. You are acting like new lovers, with the “I can’t believe you want me” mind set. Here you want to just about crawl into each other and have as much open physical contact as possible. In this position, you would lie hugging each other face to face. Generally this might be with one partner more on their back and not just a side by side position. This, the most romantic position sends the signals that there is total commitment and reassurance, whilst touching as much as possible. Bottom to bottom: This is a good compromise from the sometimes overbearing first two positions. Each partner lies basically on their side of the bed, facing to their side, but their buttocks still touching. This is the most comfortable sleeping position that still involves physical contact. There is reassurance that the physical aspect of the relationship is still alive, but does not take top priority in the overall picture. Because it is actually more comfortable to sleep on your own, the startling part here is that you’re still trying to maintain some form of contact even in a semi or unconscious state. Distant and apart. Here the sleeping partners, lie on their own side of the bed, as far apart as possible, turned away from each other. Trouble brews here. This relationship has died, or at the very least has gone through a very trying time. Because body language doesn’tlie, the partners sleeping behavior signifies, that in fact they would rather be on their own. If you find yourself sleeping like this permanently, this usually signifies emotional distance during waking hours as well. Looking at the four scenarios above, you can quickly tell at what stage your relationship is. Of course, we are talking about a normal healthy physical pre-condition. Either partner being unwell, would not count. Also, none of this is etched in stone. Most couples will in fact go through a range of these positions during the course of a night. The predominance, or total avoidance of one or other position, will however give great clues to the overall state of the relationship. If you detect a certain pattern here, you can effectively use this to determine the state of your relationship and take appropriate action. In this way body language analysis is indeed effective. Investing Online - Convenience Made Possible

By Jeff Lakie Whether you’re a pro at investing or just thinking that maybe it’s time to get started, you’ll be happy to know that you now have more options available than ever. And if you’re one of those hands on people who loves to keep control of your assets, you’ll love the potential for online stock trading. To some people, stocks seem like a foreign world - a place where the rich multiply their millions and the rest of the world dare not tread. In actuality, stocks are a great place for even small and moderate investing. It can be as safe or as risky as you like. And you can get a really good return on your investment. Making online trades is easy. For many people, the most difficult part will be working up the courage to make that first purchase. Take some time to do your research and start out with small or moderate investments. It’s okay to listen to advice, but evaluate the source. Many fortunes have been lost because the investor listened to bad advice. Most online trades will be much less expensive than hiring a broker to make your deals, but remember that there’s still a cost. It’s easy to make ignore the cost of a single trade when it’s only $10 or less. But when you’ve made a dozen trades, the cost adds up. Consider your trades before you make them, and be sure to keep track of how many you’ve made so you’re not surprised with the expense. One of the most convenient aspects of online investing is that you can research stocks and companies, make your decisions and even place buy and sell orders at your convenience. There’s no need to wait until your broker’s office is open and no need to arrange your schedule around your broker’s. If you work days, you can do your research and trades in the early morning or late at night, whatever’s convenient for you. As you take off with your investing, keep in mind that risk and return are closely related. As is true of most things, the higher the risk for loss, the higher the potential return. If you want to be sure that your investment is safe, be prepared for only a moderate return. The “Today” Show Violation Of Its Brand Promise Is More Offensive Than Borat — Though Not As Funny

By Michael Mark Matt Lauer’s recent interview with Sacha Baron Cohen violated the Today show brand and in doing so violated a trust with his viewers. When Cohen, in his Borat character, answered Matt’s question, “So why do you like Pamela Andersen?” with “She has the physique of a seven-year-old,” that was inappropriate for the Today show and its audience. Is there such a thing as appropriate for the Today show? Absolutely. Its the essence of what has made the show the morning staple it is, welcomed into millions of homes as individuals and families begin their day. The popular show offers a daily promise that may not be written or easily verbalized but is well understood and relied upon by viewers and advertisers. The Today show is a brand just like those created by P&G its just selected from the TV listings instead of competing on the shelf - and so it has definite values: its balanced, family-oriented, lighthearted, positive, informative, current. But during the Lauer/Borat interview, the Today show — in its effort to honor its promise to be current — did not honor its covenant of delivering family-oriented content. Borat, a fictional character — but a grown man nonetheless — made a statement on network television that he, as an adult, finds a seven-year-old girl sexually attractive. There are laws in this country about such acts. Yet the interviewer laughed and went on as if the answer was she is highly intelligent. And should Borats response have come as a surprise to the Today show (which it shouldnt have since the same statement is made in the movie, making Lauer part of the act and not a reporter a big issue as the show considers itself a news program), then the producers should have bleeped it out and not allowed into the living rooms, kitchens and homes of millions who understand the values of the Today show. The silent condoning of pedophilia isnt what one might call proper morning primetime network fare, amusing as Matt seemed to think it was. Sacha Cohen is a trickster. That is his shtick with Ali G and Bruno, his other creations. As Borat, he scammed the people in his movie (hes being sued by many in the film for tricking unsuspecting people into unwittingly signing releases, misrepresenting the intentions of their scenes, and not paying them fairly) and he scammed the media by playing his crude R-rated character on the G-rated Today show. Most grievously, the Today show let down its viewers by broadcasting a truly offensive comment and not even addressing it afterwards in the case they truly were caught off-guard. When the media doesnt uphold its values, millions of people are affected. This is a great and serious responsibility. Many find the movie funny I do, too, in parts but that is not the point. Humor doesnt excuse the lack of oversight that the Today show and Matt Lauer exhibited. Recently other public transgressions have been revealed and have had their consequences and apologies. Rupert Murdoch apologized for publishing the O.J. Simpson book, If I Did It, and pulled it from the shelves, calling it an ill conceived project and agreeing with the American public it was in bad taste. Michael Richards publicly apologized for his horrendous racial slurs during his comedy act gone wrong. Accidents will happen. But its hard to believe the interview on the Today show was an accident considering the same question had been posed to Borat before and his answer had been the same each time. Just take a look at the You Tube videos. It has gone unwritten and unsaid but, perhaps, due to the blurring lines between entertainment and news, between marketing and content, an official statement and apology should be made by the Today show so the broken trust can be mended between the brand and the viewers and standards can be reconfirmed, deterring further breeches of this sort by the media. So we all know just who we are allowing into our homes. Michael Mark is Creative Director/CEO of NYCA (http://www.nyca.com), a full-service marketing agency that grows businesses with inspired ideas.
